ABOUT WALKATHON
Since 1997, Samarthanam has been actively working towards empowering disabled communities and advocating for their rights at every level.
Walkathon, the community – based walking program hosted annually by Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled promotes a worthy cause and spreads awareness. It takes a special place among the many events organized by Samarthanam, emphasizing the need to support the disabled and say ‘yes’ to inclusion.
The 16th Walkathon is initiated to support Blind Cricketers across the globe with the Theme, “Let’s Walk to Support Blind Cricket“
The Walkathon aims to support the game of Cricket for the visually impaired and promote the upcoming 3rd T-20 World Cup for the Blind 2022 scheduled from 5th December to 17th December 2022 in India.
Join us on November 19th 2022 at Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore to support and empower the Blind Cricketers across the Globe and initiate public engagement into meaningful action.
Walk along to make a difference! Walk with us and ask your employees, co-workers, family, friends and neighbours to walk for the cause. Your participation will empower the game of blind cricket.
Lend a helping hand! Walk along with the disabled! Involve in volunteering opportunities such as mock walk, assistance at registration, check points, food counters Promote in your circle and be the local brand ambassador!
